Each of the eight herbs in Flor*Essence exhibits specific biological activity and boasts impressive remedial qualities in its own right: Burdock root (Arctium lappa), Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella), Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra), Watercress (Nasturtium officinale), Red Clover (Trifolium pratense), Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus), Kelp (Laminaria digitata), Turkish Rhubarb root (Rheum palmatum).

Together, in precise amounts, these eight ingredients become an entirely new entity unto itself, enhancing each other's benefits to create a powerful synergistic healing effect.

Flor*Essence contain no pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides, and they are not irradiated. They have been carefully selected and combined in unique proportions for maximum effectiveness.

Directions:

3 satchets of 21g Each sachet contains 21g of raw herbs which are brewed according to instructions enclosed to make up 1 litre of tea.

• always dilute with clean, non-flouridated hot or cold water
• general maintenance: 30-60 mls of tea per day
• when health is compromised: 60 mls once or twice per day

Harnessing the full power of the plants

More than 75% of the herbs in Flor*Essence are certified organic; the remainder are also sustainably grown in order to maximize nutrients and minimize chemical contaminants such as pesticides, insecticides or herbicides. In addition to using organic and non-irradiated ingredients, Flora is a certified organic producer and processor accredited by Quality Assurance International (QAI). This is further assurance that even the cleaning agents (e.g., certified organic alcohol) used on the production equipment are non-toxic.

To ensure the highest quality, Flora grows as many of the herbs as possible at our own certified organic herbal farm. Our goal is to grow and harvest all of the plants ourselves, but until that is possible, we purchase only from contract farmers who follow Flora's specifications.

Above and beyond

Canada's Natural Health Products Regulations now require less stringent testing than we had previously practiced as a pharmaceutical-quality facility, but we have kept up our strict quality control and continue to perform equipment and process testing beyond regulatory requirements. In addition, by conducting our own tests as well as having third-party testing done, we go beyond the mandatory steps to guarantee the purity, quality and potency of all of our products, including Flor•Essence.

Some suggestions for external use:

• Mix with water in a spray bottle. Spritz on irritated skin. Keep refrigerated.
• Saturate some soft cotton fabric or gauze. Use as a compress on boils, blisters, rashes etc. to draw out impurities.
• If you prepare the more economical Dry Herbal Tea Blend at home, use the 'leftover'sediment as a poultice or in the bath.
